Since the school opened in 1997, the 4-H Club has been an active part of our school community helping to make a child's potential count. The Oak Grove 4-H club is open to all students in 4th and 5th grades and strives to provide unique, hands-on and service learning opportunities, fulfilling the national 4-H motto of "Making the Best Better!" The current sponsors are Kirsten Collins, Tarina Cheramie and Ashton O'Quinn. The Oak Grove 4-H Club is a proud member of the Ascension Parish 4-H clubs, Louisiana 4-H Club, and the National 4-H Club.

Beta
The National Elementary Beta Club at Oak Grove Primary promotes the ideals of academic achievement, character, service, and leadership. Established at Oak Grove Primary in 2014, the club is very active in our school and community providing leadership and service. The OGP Beta Club club competes each year at the Louisiana state convention and has qualified to compete in the National Beta Convention for the past seven years. The Beta Club sponsors include: Kirsten Collins, Janice Morgan, Michele Landry, Ashley Corkern, Kami Jackson and Samantha Young. Membership is by invitation in the spring to rising 4th and 5th grade students who demonstrate the club ideals.

Robotics
Oak Grove Primary School Robotics club was founded in 2015 by former Oak Grove Primary teachers Ashley Townsend and Jenny Bruno. The club was established to increase fourth and fifth grade students' science, technology, engineering and math skills through participating in the FIRST Lego League competitions. It is the 3rd year with the club for current teacher-sponsors are Robyn Landry and Jennifer Merritt, who teaches STEM at Oak Grove. The club coaches 3rd - 5th grade club members in designing, building and programming Lego robots in addition to planning a community project and preparing an engaging presentation to display their accomplishments.
