Clubs
4-H
Since the school opened in 1997, the 4-H Club has been an active part of our school community helping to make a child's potential count. The Oak Grove 4-H club is open to all students in 4th and 5th grades and strives to provide unique, hands-on and service learning opportunities, fulfilling our motto of "Making the Best Better!" The current sponsors are Special Education teacher Kirsten Collins and Speech Therapist Tarina Cheramie.
Beta
The Beta Club promotes the ideals of academic achievement, character, service, and leadership. We are very active in our school and community providing service. Our Beta club was established in 2014. Our club competes in each event at the State convention and travels to Nationals if we qualify. The current sponsors are ISSP Facilitator Sandy Harvey, 3rd grade ELA teacher Janice Morgan, STEM teacher Jennifer Merritt, 2nd grade ELA and Social Studies teacher Michele Landry, and Special Education teacher Kirsten Collins.
Robotics
Oak Grove Primary School Robotics club was founded in 2015 by former Oak Grove Primary teachers Ashley Townsend and Jenny Bruno. The club was established to increase fourth and fifth grade students' science, technology, engineering and math skills through participating in the FIRST Lego League competitions. The current sponsors are 5th grade Math and Science teacher Robyn Landry and STEM Teacher Jennifer Merritt. We coach the current 3rd - 5th grade club members in designing, building and programming Lego robots in addition to planning a community project and preparing an engaging presentation to display their accomplishments.
